Who is responsible

What we collect

Account: e-mail address, username, display name, bio, profile photo, and your password stored only as an unreadable hash.

Content: the questions and answers you publish, the likes you give, and the reports you send.

Sender identity: when you ask a question while signed in, we record who sent it — even if it is displayed anonymously — so moderation and legal duties can be met. Recipients never see it.

Usage: follows, notifications, and measurement data from Google Analytics (pages visited, approximate country, device type).

Why we use it

To run the service you asked for (contract); to moderate content, prevent abuse and meet legal duties (legitimate interest and legal obligation); to understand how the site is used (consent, via analytics).

Who sees your data

The recipient of a question sees the question and, if you asked publicly, your username — never your e-mail.

Moderation staff can see the sender identity and the e-mail of accounts, to enforce the rules.

Our providers: hosting and e-mail delivery (details below), Google Analytics. We never sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Account data until you delete your account — deleting it removes its questions, answers, likes, follows and notifications. Questions and answers stay until you or a moderator deletes them. Moderation logs are kept as long as needed to prove a decision.

Security, cookies and minors

Data sits in a database with per-user access rules, transfers are encrypted in HTTPS, and privileged access is limited. Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits; you can block them in your browser.
